This Barcode State of Mind zine randomly showed up at my work recently and it was truly a great surprise. Adam Spitalny put together a beautiful zine that covers a roadtrip him and his boys took. I wanted to give it some shine, so click below for some sneak peek images that Adam provided. Drop him an email if you’re interested in picking up a copy at [email protected], or drop a DM through Instagram.
Some quick words:
Around 2000 miles with a total of around 15 skateparks in places ranging from high altitude mountains to legit desert to shitty towns in the middle of nowhere to nice towns in the middle of nowhere. 5 out of 6 homies rode barcodes by total coincidence so we started joking with each other by saying, “barcode boys!” Hence the name. Enjoy the imagery from the trip and give a shout if you want some detailed maps of BLM camp spots covered in bees, a BLM camp spot literally in a marsh somewhere near Butt(e)Montana, or a really sick BLM camp spots where a team of middle school runners go to practice and their dirty-old-man coaches tell you how hot the girls (“and boys, if you are into that kind of thing,”) are after the teens go jogging off into the mountains of Montana. Weird folk out there, but damn is the riding good, scenery great, and roads pretty sweet to drive aboard a big ass van filled with your friends.
